Wantage & Grove NHPT Witness Appeal At approximately 0115hrs on 23/12/25, an act of criminal damage occurred in which graffiti was spray‑painted onto the King Alfred Statue in Market Place, Wantage. This statue is an important landmark and a focal point of our community, representing the history and heritage we value. It is disappointing that, during a time when our community should be enjoying the festive season, someone has chosen to deface such a significant monument. The individual pictured below is a person of interest whom we are seeking to identify.
